On Wikipedia.com it says Little Rock's population is now 204,370 according to the 2006 census, but other sites still have it listed around 184,000. I know Little Rock is growing so can anyone tell me what is right??

The "official" number would be the one from the census. I seriously doubt LR has gained around 20k in one year's time. I'd have to think the wiki number is wrong or including suburbs it shouldn't be.

184,055 in the Little Rock city limits; 580,625 in the Greater Little Rock Metropolitan area. Anyone can post anything to Wikepedia so it's not always a good source. Best to double check anything on there.

The Census is only taken every ten years. In 2000, the last time the census was taken, Little Rock's population was 183,133. Any number other than that is an estimate/projection, thus unofficial. (A city can commission a special census between federal censuses, as Conway did a couple of years ago. Little Rock has not done that.)

The 184,422 number for 2006 is based on the American Community Survey, which estimates population changes based on sampling; it is not a complete census and is not reliable.

204,370 is what LR's population would be if the city manages to annex the communities on the western outskirts of the city.
