not just south korea is unsafe...everywhere is...the world we are living now is an imperfect world.

so just be prepared to unknown realities of life, untoward incidents that may happen...note there's no safe place now.

Korea is not "unsafe" by any means,but yes,they've got many awful incidents and disasters to deal with in these several months.

Korea before the 1980's Japan boom, had most attention. However all East Asian places, were doing fairly well around that time. Right now Korea has another boom since 2002/2004, so you have to think about the current trends.

Well "these days" were in 2014 - 6 years ago.
