I'm working towards doing a foregin exhange program my senior of college and I wanted to get some advice from previous exchange students before I go.

1. Does purchasing allergy medicine and treatments work any differently than in the United States? Can I just go out to a store and buy it or is there something different I must do?

2. Is there anywhere I can go to buy hair care products that best serve African American hair natural and relaxed?

3. I hear a lot of building in Japan do not have heating? If this is true are the use of space heaters and heater fans expensive? Also are space heaters and heating fans usually aloud in the universtiy dormitories, apartments, or housing?

Any other things you want to tell me about either two cities. Anything is appreciated!
