I’d equate Western as a country with a large middle class and freedom of speech. Neither the Philippines or Singapore meet both criteria. The Philippines is still mostly third world and most people are economically disadvantaged.

Singapore. High standard of living and a predominately middle class. Limited freedom of speech.Critics can face lawsuits for libel and slander against government officials. You will see nothing in the media comparable to CNN or Fox News.

The Philippines is predominantly Christian, Republican, has freedom of speech and has partial European an Latino descent to, and even then it's not considered Western...

Taiwan, Japan and South Korea have large middle class and freedom of speech. But they still don't fit the term "Western".

Brunei ranks much lower than Singapore when it comes to freedom of speech.

Hard working or just long work and study hours. This culture is not western, it is eastern.
Tiger moms is also not a western culture.
Phillippines' work hours is not long, but many Filipino working overseas work long hours.

Women of Hong Kong ,Singapore and the Phillippines are relatively high in societies and families, with stronger western characteristics while retaining some traditional Asian characteristics.

Dating or marrying western men. HK and Singapore are higher than the others, because they are international cities and not large in area. Not uncommon in a few cities of The Phillippines too. Because many people can speak English. Less common in Japan and Korea due to more insular culture and less common use of English.
