So I just found out today that I got the high-paying DoD job I've been salivating over for three months now, and guess what...

...I didn't pray for it.

I didn't ask any gods to help me get it.

I did it on my own without any supernatural help.

Who would have thought that great things would happen to such a hell-bound atheist?

Maybe it's because I spent my time trying to make it happen, rather than on my knees entreating a force that I don't believe exists. And tonight...I'm going to go out and praise the one deity that I do believe in -- Bacchus.

Actually it was Balder who made it possible for you and you better praise him or else, WAR! Wait, we're kinda passed that over on this side of the world. I'll go one better. He's going to broil you in a cauldron for eternity if you don't wake up and recognize. Are you scared yet?

Congratulations. Proof positive my prayers at the Church of Flying Spaghetii Monster (FSM) worked!

PS: the big money you will get is FSM's money. He needs oodles of it for his noodles.

Ramen!

That's hardly non-miraculous. It must be some sort of atheist-affirmative action.

It's all just a trick by that great deceiver satan to make you believe that a prayer wasn't necessary but congratulations just the same.
