We have a place in South Florida called Penn Dutch, where you get large quantities of chicken breast and meats at lower prices. Do they have anything like that here?
Publix is so over priced. After paying Penn Dutch prices, Publix makes me ill. LOL
We went to Costco, but even they were higher priced.

Ingles sometimes has some pretty rock-bottom prices, but I've gotta say, I haven't seen chicken breasts at $1.29/lb (per the Penn Dutch ad) in a looooonnnngggg time....

We sometimes find inexpensive chicken at the Super H Mart, but my wife's jaw dropped when I showed her that 1.29/lb ad!!! Haven't seen that here in Atlanta!!!

Nope, no $1.29 here. Kroger bounces between Perdue and Tyson at $1.99/lb. That's when I stock up. I became a Kroger fan after moving from a city in South Florida with 5 Publix stores, but nothing else. The Kroger Private Selection label is pretty good.

So we should try Krogers? Where is it?

Kroger is everywhere...there are 2 close to you. There is one on Buford Dr. up above 985. Also, there is another one on the way to Lawrenceville on Buford Dr.

Is it bad that I buy my chicken from Publix, and I don't think I've ever looked at the price....?

LOL
No, it's just that I buy a lot of chicken, and after shopping at Penn Dutch weekly for the last few years, the Publix prices seem too much (for me).
For example, at Penn Dutch, for $16 we could cut about 20 nice size chicken breasts.
