Hello,

We like to hear your comments in choosing between Mt. Bethel, timber ridge and sope creek elementary school of East Cobb for my daughter. We like go for the most recommended one from your comments.

If I had to choose between these three (all great schools)...

Definitely Timber Ridge.

Why?

-Much smaller than the other two.
-More individual attention for a child
-Good principal
-Close knit community
-More manageable

I hope this helps a little. Good Luck!

I totally second Timber Ridge. Small school, close knit. I have heard excellent things about it.

Thank you for your comments,

We are looking for a 0-15 yrs old home ( 400K-450K). I think we will get some in Mount Bethel and Sope Creek. So we are looking for some insights about these two schools. Which one is better and which one has more focus on Math and Science.

How is the crime in this area? Should we avoid any area in general?

Thank you in advance for your help.

You can't find a home that is 15 years old or less in the Timber Ridge district???

Both schools are great--they are very comparable. Sope Creek is a little bigger.

Go with the home/house/neighborhood you like...

Unfortunately, we did not find any house in that range which is 15 years or less older (3 sides brick), either in Mt. Bethel or Timber Ridge,

If you have any subdivition in mind, We can look into.

Thanks,

I'd chose Mt Bethel over Sope Creek. Isn't East Hampton Timber Ridge? Be sure if you buy a home in that range (especially around the 10 year mark) you have it closely inspected. Homes in the late 90's early 2000's went up very quickly. We looked exclusively in that range and had to pass on a number of houses due to shoddy construction.

Almost all of Easthampton is actually Mount Bethel--it is the only part of Mount Bethel that feeds into Dodgen (approximately 17-20%). The parts of Easthampton off of Bishop Lake Road (The Ridge, homes directly on the road) do attend Timber Ridge (and Pope!), however.

All of Easthampton really should be Timber Ridge--but there was some John Wieland dealings going on back in the day (too much to get into here).
