My wife and I are considering a move to the ATL area from LA. We lived in NJ and NYC before that but want to move away from the overly urban congestion and move in an area that still has rural charm (tired of the city!) but liberal and artsy and not in a suburban community. I am a (tattooed) graphic artist and work mainly from home but need to be at least commutable to Atlanta, just in case i need to work in the city. We are looking for a house with acreage and a farmland feel but with good schools since we have 2 small children. The serenbe community in Palmetto seemed like something we would love BUT the schools are bad around there and the houses are on he top of our budget with small lots. Our budget is flexible as it seems houses are far cheaper in the ATL area than where we currently live in LA but looking for something in the 300's to low 400's, flexible.
