Hi, this is a preliminary research post. I'm planning to move back to the Atlanta area in 2011. I won't have a car so I'm looking for an area that's on public transportation. I don't care about the demographic-my ideal area would be diverse-but safety and accessibility to public transportation is my main concern.

I think it has been said many many times- find a job first because where you work will determine where you should look for housing. Atlanta has severe traffic issues and the MARTA isn't exactly widespread, nor is it easy to access from many parts of the metro area.
