fter weathering double-digit unemployment in recent years, Atlanta now has one of the strongest employment outlooks in the nation in 2012, according to the Manpower Employment Outlook Survey.
Metro Atlanta’s net employment outlook for the first quarter of 2012 is 12 percent, ranking it fourth-best in the nation. Some 18 percent of local employers plan to increase current staff levels next quarter, 71 percent expect to stick with current workforce levels, 6 percent expect to eliminate jobs and 5 percent are not certain of their hiring plans, according to the survey.
