i'm not big on newer homes, but i was working on this project i'm doing and i found this new development in southeast atlanta called high point:

the homes look nice for new homes, in the suburbs these would fetch $500,000 easily. but the prices on these homes are rock bottom— if you've got around $100,000 you can take your pick. i know it's in proximity to some rougher parts such as lakewood, but you can usually tell the rough spots from the streetview— i don't see any drug dealers hanging out. what's the story with this place?

Hmmm, that seems tempting. I believe that newer looking development across the street is a former AHA project.

as for across the street, it's "the villages at carver", i think it's similar to the centennial place development. looking at reviews, it appears the apartments really suck, not because of crime but because they're very poorly maintained.
