Atlanta Hawks premiering a 3D projection system at Philips Arena - Atlanta Business Chronicle
Quote:
The Atlanta Hawks on Nov. 1 will debut a 3D projection system that turns the court into a gigantic video screen for pregame introductions and halftime performances.

Check out a video of the cool technology here.

The sound system and video board inside the arena are also being upgraded. The installation of audio equipment manufactured by HARMAN International's JBL brand, the official audio partner of the National Basketball Association, will improve the game-day experience for fans by providing more robust and intelligible audio output than previously heard in Philips Arena. Atlanta-based Baker Audio Visual will complete the audio equipment installation.
Plus, video panel displays on the center-hung scoreboard are being replaced with high-definition displays provided by Daktronics.

Went to Phillips Arena for the first time this summer for a couple WNBA games, couldn't believe how outdated their scoreboard was. This is a much needed upgrade!
