I need a ranking of mortgage companies? Where does Wells Fargo rank? What do you think about using a credit union? How about Ing Direct? I need some feedback. Thanks!

IMO- dealing with the mega companies is basically a crap-shoot. Its always better to deal on a more personal level; which you would get from a credit union or small independent mortgage company.
Besides, your mortgage will probably be sold to one of the mega's within 3months anyway.
I've dealt with Sunshine Mortgage on a couple of occasions- good service, competitive rates, an overall good experience. And yes, both times it was sold within 3months.
Good Luck-

One thing to keep in mind is that ING Direct does not offer 30 yr fixed rate.

I've heard great things about PenFed Credit Union Mortgages. It is the popular lender over at Fatwallet, so you know it's a good value. PenFed is for Pentagon employees but anyone can become eligible by making a very small donation.
