This is the type of advice that should be yelled out loud from every 25-44year-old demographic-targeted mainstream radio station in Atlanta, everyday ad nauseum.

But of course, since our "gracious" corporate mainstream media makes its bank from being the enabler for stupid, shallow, narrow-minded decision-making...we will continue to have online threads, magazine articles, and ABC news specials on Friday nights bemoaning the lack of good men in Atlanta.

Oy vey...

Manage your expectations:

If you're a somewhat attractive 35k a year office drone with no hobbies and you expect a muscular 6'4" doctor who competitively snowboards and saves puppies on the weekend....get in line and good luck. Either step your looks/game/lifestyle up to compete with the many women who will be gunning for the same guy or find someone at your level.

Play the numbers game:

Rejection is a fact of life. Being a woman doesn't entitle you to Mr. Right falling into your lap. You have to make the effort and put yourself out there. You will meet many potential prospects and for whatever reason it just won't work out; you have to be willing to accept these setbacks as a fact of life and move forward until you find what you're looking for.

A lot of women have too fragile egos to just accept that if it's not meant to be, it's not meant to be. They feel that any guy should be honored to have them in their presence. And no guy looking for a serious relationship wants to settle down with a diva, trust me on this.

Thanks Acid.

On the flipside, you also have men who look for love in the wrong places, think they deserve a supermodel on an accountant's salary, and get all butt-hurt when faced with the reality that they're not god's gift to every single woman.

It cuts both ways and it all boils down to fragile egos and immaturity. These sort of people really have no position to complain about their lack of dating success until they work on fixing their own internal issues first.
