A 10,000 mixed-use was announced for Oakdale Rd in Smyrna along the river, between Freman Pkwy SE and I-285 and is going before the council today. It will be 10,000 sq ft, mostly retail, and medical office. One thing that caught my eye is 1 condo. Is that a typo? If not, that sounds like mostly office and retail and only a single unit for the owner and dubious to call mixred-use.

This development would be right next to the planned Riverview Landing mixed-use development.

It appears to be around the corner from the planned river development.

At the city hall meeting where the city approved this development, they mentioned Riverview Landing development should start at the beginning of next year.

Btw, this development has some of its parking in the front, which required a variance since the city prefers buildings line the street and all parking be in the back in a more urban style (as do I). I guess the land was too steep to do that.
