Just the Braves stadium. The Falcons are moving across the street from where they currently are to a new retractable-roof stadium. Technically the Braves will be closer to Smyrna in the Cumberland area than Marietta.

*goes to start another batch of popcorn*

Atlanta refused to fund another stadium so the Braves voted to move to a newly built stadium in Cobb county just outside the city limits. It isn't going very far. These sports teams throw temper tantrums every now and then and if they don't get their new stadium they throw a hissy. LOL!

What rock have you been living under? LOL

But seriously, no, not quite Marietta. Pretty much right at 285 & 75 across from Cumberland in Cobb County. Marietta is further up.

I live in DC for the moment... Went to visit my folks few days ago, then bam, my sister tells me that's happening.

So, is that mean the housing price is going up in that area or down? I have a house near KSU.

I mean, Cumberland's been going down for years, except for Vinings. Didn't get to check if OK Cafe is still around. That's a fine, good restaurant right there.

It made national news. I know people in Minnesota that heard about it...

I'd guess home values will go up. Growth is happening anyway so they were already headed that way.

Cumberland has been on the upswing (to my knowledge) for several years now. Then again, I don't venture over that way very often so maybe someone knows something I don't.

You definitely have been out of touch!

OK Café is technically Buckhead (or West Buckhead) and not Vinings.

OK Café had a fire a few months back and is temporarily closed until May for repairs.

There are about two dozen different threads debating this in the last year. Dig any up and you will get your fill quickly.

Hope you're seated because I have a few more tidbits that'll totally knock your socks off:
- Atlanta is hosting the 1996 Olympics
- Water is wet
- Beltline no longer just applies to trousers
- Some guy named Spiro Agnew held our country's second highest office

*clicks through a few older threads* But seriously, did you have a chance ot check out Backstreet while you were back in town?
