not a single one of the states listed breaks the top 20 for best wages. Yes, data is from 2011, but it probably hasn't changed a hell of a lot.

Probably not. I am curious if there was a poll on states with the weakest labor laws for the people if most of them would make the top 10. I notice most states that are 'really good for business' are states with very low wages and very few workers' rights.

I see what you're getting at, but I'm pretty sure a different article I saw while looking had the wages vs. cost of living as well, and it didn't really help the case. Most of those states aren't swimming with people in good-wage jobs relative to their costs. In fact, aren't most of these states considered pretty poor by most standards?

I'd like to see that article.
Now with that said, these Southern states aren't going to be able to hand out huge tax breaks to corporations and keep taxes low across the board without something having to give.
