ATLANTA — In the days leading up to Thanksgiving, Children's Healthcare of Atlanta asked some of their patients and their families to share what they’re most thankful for this year.

Their responses were amazing.

According to Children's Healthcare of Atlanta's Facebook page, they weren't grateful for materialistic things -- but were thankful for things like, “Not dying.” “My new heart.” “Going home.”

These children have spent much of 2015 away from their homes, schools and playgrounds to recover from things like surgeries and life-threatening accidents..."

Of course if you almost die you are most thankful for whatever helped you live.

This article could also be retitled to "Things The Children's Healthcare of Atlanta PR Team Felt Would Make The Most Media Friendly And Promotional Version Of What Patients Said They Are Thankful For."
