Launched earlier this year, the $35-a-month service lets users live stream ABC, CBS, Fox, NBC, ESPN, regional sports networks and cable networks onto their phones. It's aimed at so-called "cord cutters" who are ditching their subscriptions to cable television..."

I tried Playstation Vue for the same price, and didn't like it that much. Some of the main networks were on demand only, not live stream.

Maybe this will be better.

Or just get a digital antenna and get all the local stations.

I have a less expensive digital antenna, but it doesn't get the basic cable stations. Would I need a stronger one to get ESPN, AMC and some of the other cable stations?

Call tell comcast or whoever you service provider is that you're switching to google fiber. They'll give you some sweet deals to keep you. Rinse and repeat every time at the end of the promotion expiration.

You wouldn't be able to receive anything but local broadcast stations like WSB-TV Channel 2, FOX 5, 11 Alive, CBS 46, etc. with a digital antennae. Those other channels like ESPN, AMC, etc. paid subscription only and must be provided via cable, TV service (like Google Fiber), or something that allows streams those channels like Hulu or Sling TV.

And/or $34.99 for a lot more channels, including the Fox Sports South channels with the Braves/Hawks.

I tried both of those tiers for a month each recently, then cancelled. Just didn't like it much.
