Can anyone recommend an event space in a central location of Atlanta that would be appropriate for about 100 people?

It's for a friend's surprise 50th and it's a guy.

ETA: We need to bring in our own food so that will impact where we can go as I know many places will not allow you to do this (particularly restaurants). Just FYI.

Do you need catering services as well or just the space?

Piedmont Park has some great event spaces in Greystone, Dockside and Magnolia Hall.

FYI, it's actually my best friend's husband's birthday...and she doesn't want any catered food as her family is to bring all the food in. So we just need the space.

I think Piedmont Park is out of her budget...she actually wants to rent the media room in my apartment complex but I am sure hosting 100 people in our billiards room is not gonna work. It's way too many people as tenants here usually book it for small gatherings like showers (management said typically 20-30 people). So before I officially tell her that it seems my place is just not a good option, I want to have some alternative places lined up for her.

My place rents for $200 for 2 hours (150 per hour after) so I'm sure she's probably going to want to try to find something around the same price range or not too much higher from that.

The Mary Gay House in Decatur might suit her.
