Hello all!

I have recently moved back into my buckhead townhouse after a 2 year stint in Asia! Amazing experience I tell you! Now that I am back, I want to go forward with renovating my house, top down!

I am reaching out to all you fellow city-data folks for recommendations/referrals on contractors who have a niche for full renos (kitchen, bath, flooring, etc), who are reliable/dependable, priced well, and keep to their schedules.

Please let me know if you have a contractor in mind who I should be considering for this renovation.

Thanks in advance - cheers!

Richard

It's funny you posted this...we're just now finishing up a complete renovation of a house and I was thinking I got pretty lucky with my choice of contractors. It's a fairly large house, and we did a ton of work...much more than we originally planned, but when you've got the house torn apart, it's much cheaper to go ahead and do those things you thought you'd put off till later. We gutted the kitchen and completely changed the layout, re-did all the bathrooms, all new floors, every wall, baseboard and ceiling was painted, moved some walls around, etc. I was extremely pleased with my contractor. The main thing for me was communication, and he (or his sub) was always available, ALWAYS showed up on time (that's a huge deal for me), and was constantly checking on the project. I've used many contractors over the years, and they tend to be very unreliable, but I was extremely pleased with how it went. The initial price was very fair, although like I said, we did add a lot on to it, but still was where I thought it should be. The project did take a while, but again, it's a big house and we basically gutted it, but they were always working, so I was good with that. I got quotes from a few other contractors, but chose mine mainly because he did work on a couple other friends of ours, and they were very pleased, and he was very honest about everything. I hope it's okay to post the company's info, but if not, please remove it and I'll PM you. The company name is Paramount Realty Group (paramountrg) and the owners name is Ben Morris, 770-527-5195.
