Kemp said he would sign the bill. This why urban and rural Georgia will never see eye to eye. Hopefully urban areas can rise above this and still be attractive. The urban areas need to tout that they aren't like the rest of Georgia. Filmmakers, writers, and actors should boycott the areas the representatives who voted for this bill come from.

Coweta and Fayette Counties (the 2 places that pushed Kemp over the finish line and vote overwhelmingly Republican) are the center of Georgia's film industry.

Both of those counties are still in the Atlanta metro area though, I don't think the film industry would have just built in any place in the middle of Georgia that didn't have proximity to Atlanta. I'm assuming they decided to build the film facilities down in the area because of the availability of cheaper land and easy access to the airport?

While what you say is true, this past election for these places was a textbook example of voting against your best interest, given the reprecussions from their decisions will hurt them the most.

They needed a lot of land and presumably access to the airport, so it makes sense.

The state though, continues to push these unforced errors that may drive business away.

I personally would say 'conservative' over 'republican' ...which in all full honesty... is something I'm not against.

LOL. I don't know why that's so funny to me. I wonder the likelihood that they'd move their operations elsewhere in GA.

HBO is so expensive!!!! I remember it being a thing but don't know if it's worth it. There's just a lot more options these days towards quality shows.

Until Atlanta expands it's public transportation system, it will continue to lose ground to cities who have invested in theirs. I like the Marta trains but we need a lot more lines than what we currently have.
