Hi. After i flew in from NY to visit family in Woodstock, my sister in law was driving me on route 140/92 a few miles west of route 400 around Roswell and we saw this cool looking motorcycle with an array of backlights that almost looked like a car's backlights(several levels of lights), and the area where the driver sat was very dense with a lot of plastic/metal to lean back on. It looked very elaborate, very different than the typical motorcycle. to top that off it was red in color

Are these popular in the Atlanta suburbs or elsewhere in Ga or are these bikes all over?

These are bikes everywhere....more so in the 'burbs. The City of Atlanta has a large "crotch rocket" magnet for some reason. And you will see more in the north GA mountains between Sept-Nov b/c of the winding roads.

Ummm...

I drive thru Roswell on my way home from work, and I happened to stumble upon a certain red motorcyle like the one you described...I remembered your post, and he was kind enough to let me take this photo.

The photo is a Honda Aspencade (some still call them Goldwings) with a trike conversion. I wouldn't call them extremely popular but, they are popular among those that do a lot of "2 wheel" traveling. They also pull small trailers for those "long-hauls".

Lots of sportbikes everywhere. Great mountain roads help.

Default Thanks...

that looked like what i saw a few weeks ago. Do you ever run into ex New Yorkers in the Roswell area? Last year I was in for Thanksgiving, we were eating in a resataurant that was big on wraps on route 92 or 140 (I can't remember when exactly 140 becomes 92) somewhere near the Woodstock rd/King rd intersection (near where my brother lives) and we were talking. The guy next to us overheard us and he told us he was from NY.

I live in NY City but I have visited the Atlanta area so much that I am getting to know the area really well.

Well, once we find out they're from NY, we normally try to kill them without anyone noticing- sounds like one slipped through......

There's plenty of folks up in Cherokee County from NY/NJ. We moved down from central NJ last summer and we love it.
