Interesting story. . . .

Your current mayor is in a hurry to get it done before she leaves, but the current city council doesn't seem to be in a rush; Aren't council members running for mayor? Specifically, one that was quoted in the article saying something along the lines of "it'll get done when it gets done"?

Wouldn't that be a nice PR story your first month in office? Completing the Delta deal.

And the airport manager who doesn't seem to get along w/ Delta's CEO for interfering with the new terminal, which he feels is his legacy at Hartsfield.

Delta's CEO is dropping a reminder of their contributions to the city with the line, "we've cut better deals at other airports".

Bah, it won't amount to much. There is no way Delta is going to move their whole operation to a new city. It'll bankrupt them.

I don't think anyone is crazy enough to even suggest that.

Don't forget that Minneapolis already has NWA's computer center, headquarters building, operations and training facilities, etc., in place, so much of the work is already done (and the property is already owned by Delta) if they decided to pack up and move there.

Only partially joking...
