Glad to see area leaders are focusing on improving this important area of Augusta. With the growth expected from Cyber Command, its vital that this area be primed for growth.

...And what does that have to do with a growth initiative?

Who said it was? The topic was that there is a new initiative starting to improve South Augusta. What does a factory closing have anything to do with that initiative? They are unrelated. If everything was gumdrops and lollipops in that area, there would not be a reason to try to improve anything and there would be no initiative.

Maybe it would give some initative to those that call themselves an Economic Development Authority to actually work on something other than a call center or hamburger chain to the area...

Losing a P&G, IFF, Olin and other manufacturing jobs is not offset easily...

This thread is about South Augusta...

What do Unisys, DSM and Elanco have to do with South Augusta?

Norton seems to be the one with difficulty of staying on topic.

Seriously, how many CyberCommand staffers with families out of ten who make enough money to have a choice and know enough about the area, would willingly choose to take up permanent residence there? Perhaps it's time for South Augusta district leaders to buck up and finally admit that the greatest return on investment for the area would be in law enforcement and improving the quality of the schools.
