im 15 and want to play basketball im 5ft2 and 160 pounds not fat though i am very athletic i go to a school called premier high school in austin but there is no sports so i still wanna play basketball but cannot find a league in austin so if anyone can tell me of one starting soon or still looking for players thank you.

Elrulz...try this...Here are a bunch of rec centers in Austin...look for the ones you can get to, and call them and ask them if they are starting any leagues. If they have basketball courts they probably are. Tell them you are 15 and looking for a teen league(cause many are adult ones)...this is a good time to start a teen league, the fall season just ahead. If they don't have one, say you want to volunteer to start one. It's easy. Just get a couple clipboards and paper, and set up some regular times to meet. It doesn't have to be huge. Even 4-6 teams is cool. Here is a link to that:

I would call the YMCA closet to you and see what they have. I know the austin parks and recreation has leagues, but i think they start at 16y/o---but find out for sure. I also know that the optimist clubs have youth leagues so check them out.

hey if your still looking for a league, and if your serious about playing, i dont know if you know this league buts its very popular, i played in it, its called AAU its worldwide, but its really hard to get in to so good luck.
