Usually someone new to C-D does a search for whatever topic they're interested in and joins in on whatever threads pop up on the search, not realizing that it's old, and then several other people respond because the topic is of interest to them even if it IS old, and then someone else gets all bent out of shape because it's an OLD thread (not saying you, flrpots, you just asked why) and why are people posting to it even if the topic clearly IS still interesting!, lather, rinse, repeat.
By the way, on my monitor, inthecut is the same shade of blue as everyone else.
