We hope to be moving in to our new home sometime in July!!!

The house currently does not have the yard fenced in, and since we have a small child and dog, we're going to need the back area taken care of. Both neighbors have a small (about 4' high) iron fence surrounding their back yard and we'd probably just want the same thing.

Anyone know where I should start looking to find someone who does this? We'd like to get the ball rolling ASAP since we'll have to get plans drawn, submitted to HOA etc... before it can be built. I'm going to be in Austin this weekend for the home inspection and some other stuff and would really like to get someone in to draw up a preliminary plan at the same time.

Any suggestions? We're in the west Austin area (River Place).

Thanks.

Ask your neighbors who put their fence in.

I hate to jinx anything buy saying we've "bought" anywhere, but we're under contract for what we think is our dream house in River Place. It really has just about everything we wanted plus some. It's pretty close to the River Place Club. Love the neighborhood, love the house, can deal with the commute (took me about 30 minutes on Monday morning (May 19th) at 8:30 am, and love my new (hopeful) office location downtown. Going to have the inspection this weekend so I'm making another cross-country trip to visit.

I'm very excited, but always am nervous until everything is signed on the dotted line. Had too many closings fall apart for bizarre reasons completely out of our control (OK... "too many" is relative.. really only 1 closing, but I've only been involved in a total of two before now so... but still 1 too many).

Some posts above were deleted.

If you KNOW OF a good fence company, have been a member for a while and have posted here for a while, post the recommendation here.

If you REPRESENT a good fence company, you can't post here - that would be advertising, which is forbidden.
