Good evening! I'll be relocating to Austin from Houston in a week or two, so I thought I'd consult you knowledgeable people about the area in which I'm interested. Specifically, the general area of the intersection of 183 and Hwy 1. Even more specifically, the intersection of Hwy 1 and W. Anderson Lane. (Immediately south of the 183/1 intersection.) I'm looking for a 1 bedroom apartment (potentially studio) in a safe area. From my time in Orlando, I know 'safe' areas can be patchwork and given to local knowledge; hence my reasons for posting. (I know no place is truly safe, but I think you all get my point.) So please, recommend me apartment complexes, areas in general, or anything else relevant to my search. Thanks for your help!

HWY 1 is know as Mopac around here hwy 1 is not known at all. That area is pretty safe in general so you are good to go around there. I would stay maybe around 183 area between 360 (Capt of Tx hwy) and the Arboretum area. Plenty of apts. Good luck.
