According to weather.com - looks like a good possibility of some rain all thru most of the week!

But I'll believe it when I see it!

I will be skeptical until I see it, base on the previous 'long range' forecasts, but maybe........

There was an overnight storm on the summer solstace, no rain since then.

I think this is the storm that will bring us some rain. The reason why is it is very strong, temps below freezing in the upper midwest. When you bring that kind of air south this early in the season it draws up the humid Gulf air and can provide a lot of lift.

We'll see I guess.

Well we continue with bonedry desertlike air and high pressure constantly over the area. Those are two items that make rain and unlikely event in the near future.

Worse yet - and I'm surprised you didn't point this out - all the cigarette/pot smoke and vomit fumes from ACL will introduce enormous quantities of greenhouse gases and particulate matter into the local atmosphere, which will temporarily intensify the heat due to increased absorption of incident solar radiation.
