My daughter will start attending Hill elementary next Fall. We're considering moving to another part of AISD and I heard that as long as you get one kid in the door they can keep attending that school and all the schools that follow it. I was also told that once one sibling is there that the other can follow. Can others confirm these statements?

For the ultimate in confirmation, call the principal at Hill and ask. Or call the AISD district office.

Remember, transfer policies can and do change. Nothing is guaranteed for more than a year.

Not so sure about that. I think if you do not live within the boundaries of a particular school, you cannot go to that school after that current semester. The school may allow it, but if it is an impacted campus, they probably won't. You could attempt not to tell them, and they may not find out this year, but once you update your residence and intent to return at the end of the year, the registrar of Hill will find out.
