I agree. We used to have a Fresh Choice here and it was so much better than Souper Salad. But the restaurant business is so risky... especially here where there are tons of new restaurants opening constantly.

Let's see, a yoga studio with a food truck outside that sells organic dog treats and korean BBQ tacos. That about sums it up for half the businesses here.

If you can get water softeners tuned to produce NYC water, then good H&H or Bagel Oasis-style handmade bagels would be much appreciated.. As would proper brick oven pizza.

I also think Belgian fries would do well.

I'm kinda bummed that the Mastman's Deli in downtown looks like it's not happening either. And while Austin has a bunch of good sub shops, I still miss Capriotti's and Casapulla's from Delaware..

I can't really think of anything that Austin's missing as far as retail or services go.

I/m not in the food business. But was wondering where in texas my business would do well ?. We have looked at the N. suburbs of houston, which we liked last jan 2013 . We are planning another trip to texas this time to austin .We have not been there in 15 years,I am in the guitar/violin business . I build primarily classical/ steel string guitars and ukuleles. I also do repairs on violins /guitars and was wondering if there was a need for my services in the austin area. I know there area a few other makers and guitar shops , but that just makes it more interesting. Does anyone know if there is a need for these kinds of services in the austin area thanks.
