I reside in SW Austin and have several cans of paint (half-full) that I would like to dispose of. Is there a proper way to dispose of paint as I do not think I can just toss it in my trash can? Does Lowes or Home Depot have a paint disposal service? Any advice will be appreciated.

You can drop it off on most days at the facility linked to above (not sure what their schedule is these days) and I think twice a year they do a curbside pickup - if you are not in a hurry .

There is also a "Habitat for Humanity" surplus construction facility that resells leftovers like that. It is on East 2nd street. A lot of artists and crafties stop in there.
