I just saw this post and hope it's not too late. Unfortunately, I have had personal experience with this builder. They built my home and a few other homes in our neighborhood. I cannot recommend that you do business with them. We have had many problems including dangerous structural defects. We've had to involve the TRCC and an attorney to help us resolve these issues and to date some of the issues are unresolved. We recently learned that the builder has not renewed their TRCC registration and the defect rate is now higher than it was when you originally posted. We have neighbors in similar situations who also purchased homes built by this builder. You are right to check this out before going under contract. I wish we had done the same.

Thanks so much for the info. Luckily, before we signed a contract with them, we discovered that they misrepresented themselves on many points. My clients ran for the Hills (literally - they're building in The Hills in Lakeway and the builder is wonderful!). I had a bad feeling from the start and am glad I went with my gut and advised my clients to keep looking around.
