I have checked white pages, People Search, etc. etc.
I'm certain his phone number is unlisted.
His full name is Dan Sullivan McGuire. He's 58 or 59 years old.
He is married although I don't know his spouse's name.
Danny graduated from University of California at Santa Cruz in U.S.
His life-loves are botany, horticulture, botanical gardens; it's possible he has taught these subjects.
We grew up in Berkeley, California, where Danny was creator and director of Rabbitville in our backyard. He had 202 rabbits at one time!
A divorce in 1964 separated my eight siblings and me; we were scattered all over U.S., Europe, and Danny in New Zealand.
The last time I saw my brother was in 1973 when our sister,
Colleen McGuire, was married in San Francisco.
Danny telephoned me on my birthday three years ago but I missed the call. My sister, Colleen, told me she doesn't have his phone number. She is the only family member who would have it, so I'm sunk.
Danny is at least six feet tall, slender build, with wavy white hair. I don't remember the color of his eyes.
He has a distinct accent; not like a true N.Z. accent.
If you met him, initially you would be most impressed by his eminent intellect. Secondly, you would be awed by his magnanimous heart and gentle manner.
I'd be eternally grateful for any help in finding my brother, Dan Sullivan McGuire.
And I thank you for taking the time to read my post.
You have probably already tried this as you mentioned you have checked the whitepages, but I just wanted to make sure you tried calling the numbers in the whitepages. I just did a quick search and see that there are only three people in the country under D McGuire (discounting those with a middle initial other than s) so it wouldn't take long.
A similar thing happened to my grandfather who was separated from his brothers and sisters and they were also scattered to the four corners of the world. A number of years ago some cousins of my dad's that he had never met found us by just calling everybody with our last name trying to find my grandfather.
I'm sorry I can't be any more help to you, but wish you the best of luck.
You might want to bump your original thread up rather than creating a brand new one. That way people like MarcNZ won't need to go to the trouble of providing information that has already been provided to you.
