Attending races at Watkins Glen, where to sit? (buy, road, nascar)

Hey everyone. My wife and I are planning to attend the Sprint Cup race at Watkings Glen this year. I have not attended a race there in many years, and was general admin when I did (it was road racing, not nearly as packed as it will be for Sprint Cup).

I want to buy some reserved grandstand seats for this one, but am really not sure where may be a good place. I was thinking possibly front stretch as close to turn one as possible. I would have good views of the pits, start/finish line, and be able to see the action going into the first turn (which is a a point to see a lot of passing on the track). Plus the front stretch grandstand has backrests, where a lot of the grandstands don't (I am old... so this is a bit of a factor!)

However, I was wondering if anyone here goes to races there, if I am overlooking some areas. Any recommendations?

It might be Sprint Cup but it's still road racing and no matter where you sit you can only see them when they pass by your seats.

We sat in the front stretch grandstands the first year NASCAR returned to the Glen and the site line is terrible. I have been back there many times for many different events and I just get general admission and wonder the infield.
That being said if I wanted a grandstand seat I would consider turn 11 or turn 10.
A lot of times the last lap at the Glen is very exciting and there is a lot of action in the last two corners.

I've been to many races where the long course is used. I like to wonder around the grounds and hang out at different view points or turns to catch the action. I've been in Florida for a few years now and do the same thing at Sebring. Although I might not be going to the 12 hour this year. General admission and vehicle parking fees are now over $100

I have not made a decision yet (no hurry, plenty of tickets available everywhere). I suppose my rationale is that at some point I may be interested in a dedicated spot, but hard to say. Really, I may be just over thinking it and will be happy to just be there to enjoy the day.

Maybe general admin is the way to go. Save a few bucks and put them towards garage passes or something.
