After watching a bunch of them, I have to wonder if they crash on purpose or are they just unbelievably bad drivers?
I have to agree to some extent. I have never seen things like in some of those videos. At the same time, there are a lot of crashes in the United States also, and I have to think that some of them are just as crazy as what you see in the Russian crashes. My suspicion is, we'd see some really bizarre video of American crashes, if cameras were as common as they are in some other countries.

The difference is in the US It's usually planned and everyone in the car has a motorcycle helmet on so they don't really get hurt bad.
A second car collects the helmets and everyone lays on the ground in agony until the ems workers arrive to take them to the hospital.
This use to be extremely popular in Lowell MA and Newark NJ and all of FLA.
