I'm moving to TX from NJ in a few months, but before we move, I want to upgrade from my outdated 01' to a shiny new 11'
Anyway, I keep hearing that it would be cheaper to sell my car here & buy once we're settled out west..... but I can't find comparative rates online that make these claims true.
Anyone out there that can back this up?

Resale values, and purchase values, vary from state to state. There are various websites that give you this information.
Logic dictates it would be better to sell in NJ and buy in Texas since the cost of living, and hence prices, are cheaper in Texas (most areas).
BUT - there are other factors to consider - taxes, registration, etc.
