I would get a cheaper car like. CIvic at first, since it will get a little beat up.

Insurance rates are partially based on the average cost of repairs as reported in the auto repair industry. High buck cars cost high bucks to repair when wrecked....go figure your dad is right

Wait until your dad sees what it costs to keep these beauties on the road ... the insurance is just the beginning of the costs that will present ....

These aren't cheap cars when you fix them. If these were Hondas, I would give you a pass but honestly you are better off without a MB.

You're not going to like or be able to afford the expensive repairs these older luxury cars are going to have. Get an older GTI, Civic SI, or a Subaru WRX. You can thank us later.

No one is more blind than one that does not want to see; no one is more deaf, than one that does not want to hear.
He already made up his mind, and all he's looking for is:
1. quench, better, shut up his voice of reason, that tells him it's a dumm idea
2. wait for someone here to tell him "yes, great idea, go for it", then print it out and show to his dad. Which starts sounding like his dad is forking for it anyway.

Let him have it. You not gonna fix him.
