I'm thinking of buying a Toyota Sequoia to replace my Camry because I now have a family of four, including 2 small children. Plus, we have a couple of guests that stay with our family for much of the year and we prefer to go on trips together.
I am not recommending any because I have no experience with them, but some off the top of my head are Chevy Tahoe/suburban, gmc Yukon and Acadia, Mazda cx-9, escalade, Infiniti qx56, (those last two are pretty expensive)

What other similar SUVs should I also consider?
we've had an '11 Pilot for a couple years now and really enjoy it. It's been nice for when we take our trips back to WI, and having the 4wd option (really it's awd) has helped during the trips in winter months. While most of the time we're not using the 3rd row, we have and the occupants never complained.
It's got pretty good power, has pulled our ranger boat with relative ease, and in general averages 20-21 mpg's with a best of 23 on the hiway. It replaced a 4-runner, is a tad bigger so while not as rugged it's got more room and comfort.
So based on my experience i'd recommend at least looking at a Pilot.
Loads of options...I'd definitely consider the Sequoia; besides that there's the new Pathfinder which is well priced and has a good interior. The Mazda CX-9 I know it's great, even though it's starting to get outdated (it's been lightly restyled though recently - mainly the front of the car). The new Durango is quite good too, it's just not a looker in my opinion - besides that pretty nice.
I think best value for money in this segment is Acura MDX. Next I would go for the Honda Pilot since it is same car with a bit lower quality and lower price.

I can seat my parents, my son in his car seat, my wife and my sister and her husband all in my GL450. The new GL450, is pretty tech savvy, if you can swing some $70k.
If you want to seat seven adults, then Q7 is out and you might have to look at GL450, Tahoe, Escalade etc all.

For my money, the Grand Caravan is still the best bang for the buck. Unless you're towing something heavy, it'll do everything you need it to do.
