On one of my vehicles..96 Taurus..i recently got a new battery installed, all of a sudden my air conditioner doesn't blow cold air anymore. Never knew the battery had anything to do with the air conditioning system.

Any of you guys have suggestions on what it could be?

They may have hooked it up backward the first time. Check all the fuses. There are sometimes inline fuses, but I don't know about that car specifically.

Another possibility is that they nicked the A/C refrigerant line or condenser while doing something. I don't know what the under hood arrangement of that vehicle is like.

It could also be coincidental. After all, it is a 20 year old car.

It's possible that several ground wires connect at the battery post. Perhaps one of them is open.
