Now I'm 28 and just drive a slow old Jeep in my old age, but it works fine. I think "high performance" SUV's (Considered the SRT8, but the mileage! 14mpg...so am now looking at the Explorer SPORT, Subaru Forester 2.0XT, etc. as the BMW X5M's and ML550AMG's remain beyond my reach or desire) are it for me until I can afford a track beast. Front-ends on a Z06 start at $5K if you break paint, and go up from there. Vipers, $15K. I'd much rather flog the hell out of a BRZ/Miata on my income. The Z06 was just a fun thing that everyone should do once in their life.

Most of these I only drove 1-2 years, except for the F-150, which my dad bought new and which I've had for the past 7. It has over 200k and just won't quit. Since moving to Europe I gave it back to my parents, and my mom still drives it to work every day even though she has a brand new Subaru Forest XT (which is an awesome choice, JWG223).
