You are delusional. Yes there are indeed ghettos. Do some research on Cabrini Green since you seem to have no clue about what a ghetto is.
That was a place that even my Green Beret 6' 4" uncle wouldn't dare go at night.
I hear ya. I was up in the Taylor housing project in the 80's with my ex and his coworker delivering furniture to the coworkers mother at night. It was scary, intense, and the noise level in the dead of winter was like something out of a horror film. I think that had we not been with someone that knew the ropes we would have been dead meat. I left my Doberman in the delivery van and he was even cowering.
I recently applied at a hospital that was in a sketchy area and was hired for the job but later declined it. I couldn't stand the thought of leaving there close to midnight and driving through crack house neighborhood with boarded up houses and businesses. I don't have a particularly flashy car but I'm definitely the wrong color to be there at night. They can keep their dollar fifty more an hour. I value my life more. There are real animals out there.
All I will say is I was NOT happy when my GPS took me through East New York (murder capital of NY) to avoid traffic on the Belt Pkwy. At least it was day time.
Say you are driving. You can either drive through a city wih one of the worst crime rates in the US at night. An alt route is an extra 60 minutes. Would you drive through the ghetto?
Hell no, for no reason.
My sister has been car jacked in Miami five times through some of the best parts of Miami. I'm not risking my life driving through Overtown or Liberty City in a tank at night.
You must not be aware of how bad some areas in the US are.
Your life isn't as valuable as a bag of weed let alone a luxury car.
California has some rough ghetto areas (West/East Oakland, Richmond, Bayview/Hunter's Point, East Palo Alto, Compton, Watts, San Bernardino) and I would definitely not want to be caught in those areas, even during the day, let alone at night!
I drove flashy cars in ghettos (and everywhere else) for thirty years.
They had red flashy lights, and blue flashy lights...
