These are likely a Walmart brand and the 6.5" coax speakers sell for under $13 a pair.

Yes I know there are lots of better brands, but I'm wanting a cheap replacement for my buzzy door speakers.

The $30 Sony Explode 6x9 I installed last week in the rear sound soooo much better than the OEM speakers.

I know they will sound better than the original speakers I'm just looking for experience regarding durability.

Reviews are pretty good but are always framed by the phrase "much better than I was expecting"

Never mind. I found a pair of Pyle mid bass 6.5 speakers for $32 bucks and bought those.

I would buy decent speakers. Boss audio today is what Kraco was in the 80/90s

Pyle has to be the worst name you could have for a speaker or any company.

So I've heard.

I'll report back my experience.

This may very well be a case of "poor man pays twice" if I have to buy something else after the pyle.

Unfortunately, Gunslinger . . .

Nothing, and I do mean NOTHING, ever comes from a cheap / inexpensive speaker. That also applies to ALL Components in a Vehicle's Audio System.

That old saying, "YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR" definitely applies here.

When we were kids we didn't have a ton of money. A buddy of mine worked at a car parts store and he gave us his employee discount on audio. Of course it was cheap junk, but we just wanted loud. The distorted sound was just a inconvenience. Blasting Metallica, Judas Priest, Motörhead, Anthrax, Pantera loud was what we wanted. Me buddy had four 6x9 on the back deck of his LTD and two 6x9 in the doors. We took house speaker boxes and wired them in for bass. We didn't know any better.
And back then funny enough Pyle was considered the snizit.

I was just commenting on the name of the company, nothing more. Hopefully they work out well enough for you. Search craigslist for better stuff at similar price points as new lower end components.

I wouldn't touch Boss or Pyle for use in a car. An uncovered boat? Sure.

I'm a JL Audio fan. I've also had good luck from my Polk stuff in my nice weather car.
