I don’t know what to make of this. It looks ungainly, like a bloated C-class. Not that the X6 found any favors with me. Never liked the sloping back.
The GLE doesn't even challenge the X6 (2015 model). The BMW looks sharper, bolder, and just has more curb appeal compared the the Benz. The Benz looks like a blend of various models including the new C and S class and an uglier GLA.
I'm a fan of Mercedes but this abomination doesn't compare to the GLK, M, GL, or the G class which are all appealing vehicles in my opinion.
i actually got on this site because i wanted to get some opinions of vehicles automotive mags really forgot to cover. it seems here everyone reads a mag and makes an opinion. if im gonna spend 5k extra because a 6 series bmw has awd, tell me what i spent that money for. not one bmw, mercedes or landrover awd/4wd is worth shik in inclement weater, might as well be a 93 taurus. i only saw subaru and toyota moving a car in traction limited scenarios. this is coming from a guy who can click 2 switches, engage 4 tires spinning equally, and pull your X6 out of a puddle or a landslide.

For decades BMW had little cars and was the little brother to Mercedes. Back in the eighties I had the chance to drive a number of models of both cars and BMW was a no-brainer for me. BMW is also today a real tech lead along with Audi, another also ran in the seventies. But look at them now. Go.
