My 2006 Impala LS stopped running awhile ago. The car would die after sitting idle for some time and would need jumps before it stopped completely. It was tested at JD Byrider and then took to the Chevy Dealer. Battery , Alternator , Starter all assumed good. The dash used to light up mileage and transmission controls. now it doesent light up at all. They said it was a pcm problem but then i got a new pcm purchased and installed from arcautos.com still did not work. The pcm did not have communications with any other modules besides bcm and tcm. which made the chevy dealer believe pcm is good. It is some kind of short in the electrical circuit he thinks that he says will take extensive looking to find and cost up to $600. Anyone have any suggestions with this might be or for a quick check to save me extra money for a diagnosis.
Check to see that all the various computer modules have 12 volts electrical power. No blown fuses. No loose power wires or ground wires which are keeping electrical power from all those computer modules.
You would need the factory electrical diagrams manual for that.
Also you can just check for power at all fuses (both sides of fuse).
