A passenger taking a movie of a ride in a Lamborghini Huracan with its 5.2 litre 610 HP V10 engine survived the crash but with serious injuries when the vehicle hit a bump and careened off the road at 300 kmh/186 mph.

In spite of the appearance of the wrecked car, the driver also escaped alive but left the scene of the accident.

Crashed and Burned. What a mess. Were they on the Autobahn ? Going that fast anywhere but a race track is pretty wreckless.

Amazing they survived.

I wouldn't even go 186 mph on a closed course on a straight in one of those. The smallest of lips between pavements can cause this very thing to happen, and a car without a roll cage...forget it.

That guard rail really did it's job! Look how well it caught that car. Those buffoons should have been in the middle of that field.

I've always wondered what the owners think about after they wreck a car that costs as much as a house. I guess insurance pays for that but that's a case of more money than brains I think.

I would be surprised if insurance paid for that one.

No in-car.. But i've been following the story of the Petty Experience instructor who was killed on Sunday at Disney speedway..

Lamborghini that was part of attraction at Walt Disney World crashes and kills passenger | National Post

That seems to have the best pictures of the aftermath.. In standard race track protocol, the car is covered with a blue tarp, no graphic images..

Best I can tell, the passenger door nailed the guardrail.. So, I assume there was penetration into the cockpit that killed the instructor (Who was in the passenger seat)

That link doesn't have the greatest details on the story, just the best pics I can find.. Said the driver failed to make a turn on the road course, but.. Looking here at an overview of the speedway.. I don't see that crash location being anywhere near any real turns..

This is the 'road course' used.. and.. He blew probably the simplest, though the fastest, turn on the course. i'd guess he lost the back end coming off the turn and looped it several times coming off the turn and it just impacted passenger side right into the end of the guardrail. I'd assume he jumped back in the gas too hard and too soon coming off the turn and it got out from under him.

Unlikely because they wouldn't leave a bump on a road that has unlimited speed limit.
