I see this pretty often on southern Calif. freeways. What do people do to cause this?

Probably the typical tailgating then traffic slows. They have their head up their azz texting or daydreaming about God knows what. Traffic stops or they get brake checked and since they are s****y drivers they overcorrect slam on the brakes but they hit the wall doing their best impression of a NASCAR wreck.

I can't take this question serious....

There is a joke in here somewhere.... right.

If it (sadly) is not a joke.... Work it over in your mind, I sure you will come up with the answer.

They sell these giant black crayons on Amazon. It's a thing the teenagers are doing in LA nowadays. They go on the freeways at like 2-3am when they can actually get out there with their giant crayons, and then they draw a big line on the road and the wall.

We have some older highways with tight curves on the exits in Mass. and I often see the skids then a smear of paint, rubber and plastic on the concrete barrier.
OOPS someone should have probably slowed down like all the signs suggested to.

Skid marks and Crash equals someones day being ruined. It also equals high insurance rates for everyone because people can't pay attention and heed warnings.

Kids here spin doughnuts in intersections leaving black tire burnout circles. Now they have taken to doing it on the freeways at 3 AM. Very dangerous.

Actually, there is wisdom to this post. Remember a movie with Joe Pesci, when he was trying to get his nephew out of sentence by being a wannabe attorney in some small town? Entire point at the end was that skid marks left at the crime scene could have not been coming from suspects car as it had traction control.
So the wisdom is - cars with antilock do NOT leave skid marks braking.
So, it was either a 89 Civic with turboed 500 hp engine and NO antilocks or an 18 wheeler doing this or an old redneck beater truck.

As I read the first six words of the title of this thread... I did not expect it to be in the automotive section. Up until that point, I was thinking it was maybe about a divorce or something.
