I remember reading years ago that a micro fiber waffle weave towel is thought of as the best all around towel for drying a car. Is this still the case?

I just use a towel that I ripped into smaller manageable squares.

It depends on how picky you want to get. Microfiber towels have thread counts like fine linen. Cheaper ones will leave small scratches. The best ones for drying a car run about $25. My Camaro only gets hand washed and I have several different towels for drying, polishing, interior, windows, etc.

These guys sell the best towels for all different applications. There are dealers in the U.S.

I use a "California Water Blade" which is a hand held squegee and a synthetic shammy called "The Absorber"

My cars only get hand washed. Any good quality towel that doesn't drop lint all over is good.

I you live somewhere other than in an apartment complex(you have your own home), a leaf blower will dry the vehicle fast, and also get into the seams where a towel won't.

Bob.

I've been studying up on these microfiber towels, and I don't like that they have special washing requirements. Think I'll go with terry towels and my California Jelly Blade.

I use the absorber and also have the waffle weave towels. We have hard water and they both work fine. I use the absorber to get the big chunks of water and then the towel to go over the car.

Use old T-shorts for the door jambs and bottom of the bumpers so I can throw them away.
