This is in regards to a hypothetical accident in California.

Excuse my poorly drawn diagram.

Also, ignore that car A (circle) is turning left from the right lane.

Assuming B (square) does not stop at the stop sign, who is at fault for this accident? Car A for improper lane change, car B for failure to stop at a stop sign, or do both share some liability in this instance?

Car A sustains damage on its front right bumper and car B has damage on the driver's side door (front).

What do you think?

Sorry, A is at fault, which I bet is you.

Even if B didn't stop at the stop sign, the issue is that A moved into B's lane after B was in traffic with A.
